Where else to start than with one of the most shocking pop culture moments of the 2020s so far: The Slap. To remind you of how it all played out, while presenting the Best Documentary Feature award on stage at the 2022 Oscars, Chris Rock made a direct comment about Jada Pinkett Smith's bald head, comparing her to Demi Moore's character in G.I. Only Jay-Z could get up on stage at the Grammys and call out the Grammys in front of the whole world - and that's exactly what he did in 2024 when he questioned the Recording Academy's complicated history of failing to properly reward the work of iconic artists, like his wife, Beyoncé.
