Their expanded partnership follows a collaboration on the Ian Veneracion-starring crime action series Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence, and will kick off with Dose, an eight-episode crime drama centered on two powerful women: a rising triad queenpin and a relentless international police agent. "Forced into a tense alliance, they confront corrupt cops, ruthless mobsters, and violent enforcers. What begins as a mission for justice and revenge explodes into a savage battle for survival and power in a brutal, male-dominated criminal empire," a synopsis from the co-producers reads. "This slate marks an exciting new chapter in our partnership with Rein Entertainment, as we double down on bold, globally resonant storytelling from Asia," Bonnie Wiryani, vp of revenue and head of content sales at KC Global Media Distribution said in a statement. U.S.-based KC Global Media has offices in Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, China, The Philippines and South Korea. Lino S. Cayetano, president and CEO of Rein Entertainment, which has credits like the political thriller Bagman, the LGBTQ+ romantic comedy Betcin and the suspense thriller A Silent Night, added in his own statement about the partnership with KC Global Media: "Their vast international reach and expertise in elevating Asian stories for global platforms make them an ideal partner. Together, we look forward to creating more content that reflects the dynamic voices and visions emerging from the region, and we're thrilled to bring them to international audiences." Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence, set around the true-life Philippines drug war, follows a once-privileged priest who teams up with guilt-ridden cop to expose a deadly conspiracy surrounding the mysterious death of a former protégé of the priest.
