More troubling updates have come to light in the death investigation of Celeste Rivas. Last week, a major turn was taken in the case: singer D4vd was officially named as a suspect. As we've been following, Celeste went missing at just 13 years old early last year. Fast forward to September of this year, a Tesla was reported abandoned in the Hollywood Hills near D4vd's rental home. It was towed to an impound lot in Hollywood, where employees noticed a foul smell coming from it. Police were called, and a hacked up body wrapped in plastic was discovered in the trunk. The remains were later confirmed to be that of Celeste. When the shocking discovery was made, D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, was out of state on his Withered World Tour, and he was not initially implicated as a suspect in the teen's death. However, more information began trickling out revealing he was seemingly in a relationship with the minor before her death. The Romantic Homicide singer's home was later raided by homicide detectives, where according to private investigator Stephen Fischer, "sadistic" items that "you could use to get rid of a person if you wanted to" were discovered. It was initially reported that D4vd was cooperating fully with law enforcement amid their investigation, but that may not be the truth... Police have apparently yet to interview the Here With Me singer, and there's still uncertainty surrounding to what extent D4vd was possibly involved in Celeste's death. The source added that while he may have been named as a suspect, the investigation is very much still ongoing. Over the weekend, we reported that Celeste's cause of death may never be determined because her body had been FROZEN. Police told NBC4 Investigates that Celeste's death likely occurred in the spring. And we now know that when she was discovered in the trunk of D4vd's Tesla in September, she had seemingly been thawing out for a while. So gruesome. A police source told People over the weekend: "We are working to determine if her death was a murder or something else. Springtime is the closest we've come to determining the time of her death. Not before then." And that's not it for shocking updates in the case... It's also currently being speculated that whoever was involved in Celeste's death likely had help from an accomplice. Law enforcement sources recently revealed to TMZ that there may be multiple suspects. The outlet's Charles Latibeaudiere told KTLA: "Another thing that we are told is that they know now, based on the manner in which Celeste's body was dismembered, that investigators believe it's very likely whoever did that to her had help."
