Now, Lukas - who is starring in more queer-forward roles like Companion and Amazon Prime series Overcompensating - is still addressing awkward questions about his sexuality. Bravo / Getty Images Speaking frankly on his costar's podcast, In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele, Lukas recalled the time a publication's host asked how gay he actually was. Maya Dehlin Spach / Getty Images "I'm like 10% straight or 10% bi," Lukas continued, clarifying that he has hooked up with women. "Multiple, many" in fact. Lukas said he still hooks up with women, and when Owen asked if he could get hard with them, he nonchalantly answered, "Yeah." Jc Olivera / Getty Images "But I emotionally can't," Lukas shared. "There's something that disconnects. That's probably why I was such a horrible boyfriend to all the girlfriends I had 'til I was, like, 20." In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele In the podcast, Lukas explained which particular sexual act he likes with a woman. When Owen asked if he likes "sucking a tit," he replied, "Yeah," but clarified he doesn't like "the idea of going down [on a woman]." In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele Listen, while it's playful banter between Owen and Lukas, I can't help but be triggered by this conversation. Not in some overly dramatic meltdown type of way, but as someone who identifies as bisexual, I found myself hitting every beat of this conversation with a friend, once or twice. In LGBTQ+ circles, it feels like your proximity to queerness is often questioned, especially if you find multiple genders attractive. In predominantly straight circles, I would say it's even worse. And honestly, it's pretty difficult to explain each specific sexual scenario that you do and don't prefer as someone who is not 100% gay.
