Amanda Bynes is denying the viral claim that disgraced Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider got her pregnant when she was 13. The former child star, now 39, told TMZ in a story published on Friday, November 21, that the rumor is false and that the viral TikTok video featuring her was digitally altered. The now-deleted video in question came from a Bynes fan account and showed a clip of the All That alum with the text, "The man I got pregnant with him [sic] at the age of 13! 😭," appearing on the bottom of the screen. The post then cut to a clip of a young, bikini-clad Bynes sitting in a hot tub with a fully clothed Schneider, now 59, which also appeared in the 2024 documentary Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV. The scene was from Bynes's recurring sketch, Amanda's Jacuzzi, from season 2 and 3 of The Amanda Show (1999-2002). She continued to explain to TMZ that the first clip in the video is ripped from a recent Instagram Story she posted. Getty Images In May 2024, Schneider sued the producers of Quiet On Set for defamation, claiming the Investigation Discovery docuseries falsely portrayed him as a child sex abuser. Schneider, who helped produce some of Nickelodeon's most popular shows including All That, Drake & Josh, Kenan & Kel, The Amanda Show, Victorious, Zoey 101 and iCarly, was at the center of the explosive documentary as it divulged many allegations of inappropriate conduct at the network. A spokesperson for Schneider released a statement before Quiet on Set's release, which read, "Dan cared about the kids on his shows even when sometimes their own families unfortunately did not. He understood what they were going through and he was their biggest champion. The fact is many of the kids on these shows are put in the untenable position of becoming the breadwinner for their family and the pressure that comes along with that." The statement continued: "Add on top of that the difficulties of growing up and having to do so under the spotlight while working a demanding job, all as a child. That is why there are many levels of standards, executives, lawyers, teachers and parents everywhere, all the time, on every set, every day. However, it is still a hard place to be a kid and nobody knew that better than Dan." As for her head-turning social media comments over the years, the retired actress told the publication: "I'm really ashamed and embarrassed with the things I said. I can't turn back time but if I could, I would. And I'm so sorry to whoever I hurt and whoever I lied about because it truly eats away at me. It makes me feel so horrible and sick to my stomach and sad. Everything I worked my whole life to achieve, I kind of ruined it all through Twitter. It's definitely not Twitter's fault - it's my own fault." She sought treatment again in early 2019 before graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising that June.
