Gal Gadot is ready to return to the world of Snow White. The Wonder Woman actress, 40, told Us Weekly exclusively that she'd "love" to reprise her role as the Evil Queen in a potential spinoff film seven months after the release of the fantasy musical. "I would love to do that. Yes," Gadot said at the Women's Guild Cedars-Sinai Snow Ball Gala, where she was honored with the Hollywood Icon Award, in Beverly Hills on Thursday. "Tell [Disney CEO] Bob [Iger]. Bob, I'll do that." Gadot was given her award by Dr. Shlee Song, who saved the actress and her daughter Ori's life last year when an MRI revealed a "massive blood clot" in Gadot's brain when she was eight months pregnant. She underwent emergency surgery for the clot in February 2024, and delivered her baby one month later, sharing via Instagram that Ori was healthy and she had "fully healed." (Gadot shares four children with husband Jaron Varsano.) When asked what being awarded a "Hollywood Icon" meant to her, Gadot explained to Us that the night was more about giving thanks to the people who have lifted her up over the years, especially during her hospitalization. Gal Gadot Clarifies Comments About Why 'Snow White' Was a Box Office 'Flop' "To me this evening is all about the amazing doctors and nurses and caregivers that treated me when I needed them the most, in my darkest hour," she explained. "They showed me the light, and it's all about them to me. Even when I'm here. I'm here to actually honor them and talk about them and give them the credit. I'm in the spotlight all the time. They should be the spotlight tonight." As for her return as the Evil Queen, Gadot portrayed the character in the 2025 live-action reimagining of Disney's 1937 animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The film, which also starred Rachel Zegler and Tituss Burgess, generated controversy regarding its color-blind casting and oppositional political views amongst the cast. Gadot addressed the movie's performance at the box office in August, saying that "the film didn't fail solely because of external pressures." "There are many factors that determine why a film succeeds or fails, and success is never guaranteed," she said on her Instagram at the time. There have been no reports of a potential Snow White sequel or spinoff yet, but Disney has greenlit standalone villain movies before, including 2014's Maleficent and 2021's Cruella. "I remember every time I went to the mirror to say the line, 'Magic mirror on the wall.' There's something so powerful and humbling about it," Gadot told D23 in March. "There's something so great about playing a character that is bigger than life." Rodin Eckenroth/Getty Images While audiences wait to hear about the Evil Queen's future, Gadot is preparing for her next role in The Runner. The action-thriller follows a successful London attorney (Gadot) whose perfect world is turned upside down after her son is abducted. Fighting against the clock, she tears across London, obeying a stranger's commands in a bid to rescue her son. Gadot told Us that the script, written by Mark Gibson, left her speechless. "When I first read the script, I read it in one go and I could not breathe. It was like that. It's an incredible thriller," Gadot dished. "[Director Kevin Macdonald and Gibson] are just going to keep you at the edge of your seats throughout [the film]." The Runner is one of two Gadot films scheduled to be released next year, the actress shared, listing Julian Schnabel's In the Hand Of Dante as the second. She is developing several other projects through her production company, Pilot Wave Motion Pictures. The Justice League star didn't share any specifics about her other movies, but told Us she is working on "a bunch of projects" that she is "so excited" about. Gal Gadot Was Diagnosed With Blood Clot in Her Brain While Pregnant "You'll know soon," she teased. Gadot cofounded Pilot Wave with husband Jaron Varsano, with whom she shares four daughters. The couple, who have been married since 2008, are taking a break from their high-powered Hollywood careers this holiday season, instead choosing to focus on family. "[This] Thanksgiving, I'm going to host at the house," Gadot said. "I love to cook so I'm going to cook and host. That's going to be fun. And we're going to travel during winter break."
