Hilary Duff is teasing more new music after dropping her first new single in over a decade. Duff, 38, announced on Friday, November 21, that her latest full-length album, Luck ... Or Something will arrive on February 20, 2026. "I am often asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry," Duff said in a press release announcing the LP. "The album title is my way of answering that question. It's luck, but there's also a lot of weight in the ' ... or something.' Many of the things I've been through along the way are held there, and I feel like ultimately that's what's shaped me." Luck ... Or Something will be Duff's first new album in more than a decade following Breathe In. Breathe Out., which dropped in June 2015. The news comes weeks after the former Disney Channel star teased her return to music with the single "Mature" and its accompanying music video. Hilary Duff Makes Rare Comment About Navigating 'Family Drama' "'Mature' is a little conversation that my present self is having with my younger self," Duff explained in another press release on November 6. "The two of us are reflecting on a past experience and sending love to each other. It's a chuckle, a wink and a sense of being grateful that we are sure-footed in where we landed." The Younger alum later revealed that the song was about a "brief experience" with an ex that happened "a long, long time ago." "It is not totally autobiographical," she told Vogue of the track. "I took a few artistic liberties just to make the song work structurally, but the gist is the gist." The 'Luck ... Or Something' album cover. Atlantic Records She added, "I was looking back on this relationship and thinking about whether this guy had a habit of dating younger women or whether I was 'special.' The whole experience was super therapeutic to write about, but being so vulnerable through your music can be really scary." Duff cowrote "Mature" with her singer-songwriter husband, Matthew Koma, and Madison Love. She and Koma, 38, share daughters Banks, 7, Mae, 4, and Townes, 18 months. She also shares son Luca, 13, with ex-husband Mike Comrie. "'Mature' is a conversation with my younger self about being happy with where I landed," the Lizzie McGuire star explained to Vogue. "Part of it was an idea that Matt originated, and part of it came from thinking about that idea of not recognizing younger versions of yourself when you're now deep into your 30s. Matt, obviously, knows all the stories from my past, and he's so great at coming up with a concept where I get to go in and interior design the whole thing." Hilary Duff Through the Years: Disney, Motherhood and More Duff previously said she wanted to spend more time with her family before returning to the studio, as recording schedules can be quite a bit more erratic than the rigors of a film set. "I always knew I would be back at some point, but I didn't have a running note on my phone until I started seriously talking with Matt about what new music might sound like," she told Vogue. "To be 38 and have built a family that looks the way I always dreamed it would, I feel like I can step away and take some time to do this for myself. I've had a forward-facing life for such a long time, but I'm ready to connect with people again on a level that feels authentic to who I am now. It feels like a victory lap."
