While several clients have seemingly had a positive experience at Habit Salon, one influencer is now speaking out about her alleged disappointing time receiving extensions. The TikTok user, who posts content under the username @Notfamous808, went viral when she shared her side of the story earlier this month and claimed to have been charged more than $4,000 for her hair. In the videos, the influencer claims, in part, that Rasmussen touched her hair for less than 60 seconds but @Notfamous808 was billed $2,974 for the "Chrissy service." Rasmussen, who has more than 27 years of experience, has yet to address the drama directly. She has, however, seemingly responded to @Notfamous808's claims in a series of TikTok Story videos, sharing a clip of her working on extensions before walking away. "Your stylist will discuss your goals and provide a customized quote during your consultation, either before or at the time of your appointment," the website reads. "To confirm your appointment, a non-refundable deposit is required. This policy ensures our time is respected and allows us to better serve all clients." Prices for the stylists range from $1,000 to $2,600. As for coloring, the pricing varies by stylist with some charging upwards of $550. The website notes that the prices listed are "base rates and can change depending on the complexity of your service and your desired outcome." Stylists will provide a customized quote during a consultation and some may require a non-refundable deposit, which "ensures our time is respected and allows us to better serve all clients." The team offers a "rejuvenating wash" and styling, which may include a "sleek sophistication, playful waves or a trendy tousle." Do Influencers Get Their Hair Done for Free by Hair by Chrissy's Chrissy Rasmussen? While it's a standard practice in the industry, it's unclear if Rasmussen adopted this model of business. One influencer, however, has claimed that she received the service for free in exchange for social media content. Joslynn, who goes by the username @nnnnylsoj, admitted via TikTok to her 2 million followers, "It was free. We did content exchange." Joslynn proceeded to share an alleged text conversation with Rasmussen's assistant, where the influencer asked, "Does she not do trades by any chance? With content creators? Or does that part depend on certain factors?" The assistant allegedly replied, "Shoot not really but what's your TikTok?" In the comments section, one user speculated, "They charge so much because they have to make up for the free hair for content creators lmao."
