Ashley Tisdale is saying goodbye to her name! The 40-year-old actress took to social media on Tuesday to confirm she will henceforth be going by her marital name. For those who don't know, she is married to composer Christopher French. That means she'll be going by Ashley French moving forward. Wow! It will take some time to get used to the moniker! However, Ashley explained in the new video that she's making the switch so fans can get to know the real her. She said: "I finally launched By Ashley French. I've never really been this intimate before, but I have so much to talk about - especially, like, now in my 40s, having my kids, and being a parent running a company. I've been Ashley French for so long at home, but I really never changed publicly, because everyone knows me as Ashley Tisdale, but I just felt like it was time for people to know me, for me, and not just a character or, like, a celebrity." This is not the only reason she created the site, though. She has also been struggling with sharing her personal life on Instagram: "For so long, I have shared so much of my life on social media. I just think Instagram has changed a lot. I should be honest, at this point, you don't know what's real, what's a bot, and everyone has something to say, and it might not be positive. Not that I want to block out the negativity, but I felt like in order to protect my peace, I didn't want to keep sharing in that way." That's totally understandable!
