Guerdy Abraira is ready to speak her truth - whether her Real Housewives of Miami costars want to hear it or not. "This is a book for me. This is my reaction. These are my feelings. This is my perspective. No one could take that away from me," Guerdy, 47, exclusively shared with Us Weekly while celebrating the release of her memoir at BravoCon 2025 on Saturday, November 15. "You could say your version of whatever you think you want to do. And that's literally what it is." In her new book, From Trauma to Trophies: The Unforeseen Events That Redefined Me, Guerdy takes readers beyond the glam and the cameras to reveal the complicated, cross-continental journey that shaped her. Along the way, she details her experience being part of The Real Housewives of Miami. 'Ultimate Road Trip' and More New Shows Announced at BravoCon 2025 The Bravo star recalled the moment Larsa Pippen shared her breast cancer diagnosis with friends without permission. Another chapter explored the lessons she learned after costar Julia Lemigova tossed a glass of water on her. "I took the let them theory, and then I spinned it, and then I tossed it upside down, and I said, 'No, let them. But then also let me,'" Guerdy shared with Us in Las Vegas. "So I created my own theory, which is called the 'Let me theory,' and it's a counterish to Mel Robbins' [theory]. Let me do what I got to do." In October, season 7 of The Real Housewives of Miami concluded with a dramatic 3-part reunion show. While Guerdy remains close with several cast members, including Lisa Hochstein and Adriana de Moura, she has been focused on writing the most honest and candid book possible. Live Limitless Media Group "I had to do this for me. This book is the most important thing and nothing else," she said. "I had to definitely take a step back and just focus on what I had to get done because if you let this show consume you, you're gonna get nothing done. A lot of people get sidetracked. I'm not that person. I'm so focused because I got to keep it moving." During BravoCon weekend, Guerdy hosted an intimate dinner at KYU Las Vegas in celebration of her new memoir. Bravo stars, including Stacey Rusch, Katie Ginella, Jennifer Fessler, Angela Oakley and Leva Bonaparte, celebrated their friend's new book with a special party featuring Hammitt. As fans began to turn the pages and read for themselves, Guerdy is proud of what she was able to share. Why RHOM's Stephanie Thought She Was Going to Get Kicked Out of Reunion "I wrote this book one therapy session at a time. Every time I finished therapy, I just started writing my draft, my notes, everything that went on," she said. "So much revelation, so many full circle moments, so much on how things that happened on the show related to my childhood trauma." Guerdy continued, "It's so crazy, because you think it's just a stupid show, right? But then it's like, but what happened in this scene and how they made you feel and how they made you react, everything is interconnected. It was really interesting to write." From Trauma to Trophies: The Unforeseen Events That Redefined Me is available in stores now.
