Allison Mack says NXVIM leader Keith Raniere reached out to her once following his arrest. "He wrote a letter to all of us that were on trial, like, right before the trial," Mack, 43, shared during her Tuesday, November 18, appearance on the "Inside of You" podcast. "But I did not read it." Mack has yet to open up the note. "I am not yet at a place where I have forgiven him because I haven't fully comprehended what he did," she said of Raniere. "I'm still working on that." Elsewhere in the episode, Mack referred to him as "an evil man," declaring that "it's good that he's not around." Mack was arrested in 2018 for her connection to Raniere and NXVIM, acting as a recruiter for the organization, which has since been referred to as a "sex cult." She was held under house arrest until 2021, when she was sentenced to three years in prison. Mack was released in July 2023, after serving 21 months. YouTube "When I was on house arrest for the three-and-a-half years, I was just trying to manage figuring out what had happened and avoid 22 years in prison and a sex offense conviction," Mack said during Tuesday's podcast episode. "When I was in prison, I was just trying to survive being in prison." She continued, "I've only been home for two years. So it's only been two years that I've been able to really feel safe enough to start to get really into what happened." Mack recently sat down for her first interview following her prison release, telling her story for the "Allison Mack After NXVIM" podcast, which releases new episodes every Tuesday. Allison Mack's Husband Revealed as Former Neo-Nazi Frank Meeink The first time Mack "felt sad" about what she went through was when listening back to the podcast episodes. "I had felt incredible amounts of remorse and guilt, and so much shame for the people that I had hurt. But I had never really felt sad about what had happened for me," Mack explained. "It's a really complicated thing to be both a victim and a perpetrator. I think I'm still working through that." Mack detailed her experience in NXVIM during her seven-episode podcast series, recalling the lengths she went to stay between 105 and 107 pounds per Raniere's request. Aside from eating so much squash that she turned orange, Mack would also "chew so much gum" during this period of her life because she was "so f***ing hungry" throughout the day. "I only chewed cinnamon gum, because cinnamon gum doesn't have aspartame in it, so I was still being healthy," she said, in part. "The inside of my mouth was raw from all of the gum, because the cinnamon gum would fry your mouth, and I'd have like an entire pack in my mouth at one time. I obsessively chewed gum and drank sparkling water."
