Ariana Grande is opening up about her and Cynthia Erivo's touchy-feely dynamic. The pop star appeared on Tuesday's episode of the Good Hang podcast with Amy Poehler, where the host couldn't help but raise questions about her and Cynthia's famously up-close-and-personal brand of affection. Ariana explained: "I am very - I channel a lot of energy through my hands, and so I'm always holding a hand, I'm always squeezing something, as you've learned. I'm always reaching for something." Shocking Sentence Revealed As fans know, the pair have turned SEVERAL interviews into eye-popping moments because of their physical displays of affection. In fact, a clip from last year's Wicked promo tour is currently going viral in which Cynthia adjusts Ariana's diamond choker mid-interview. Watch (below): Further dishing the subject of her touches and squeezes, the Tattooed Heart singer added: "It's often who I'm with ... I like to channel support and energy. I didn't even notice that it was thing about me until [I grabbed Cynthia's finger]." Who could forget THAT moment?? Speaking on what triggered the gesture, she added: "I didn't know what the f**k was going on, and I knew it was tender, and sincere, and beautiful, and I just wanted to be supportive. Oh my god ... it felt sweet, it felt beautiful, and it was beautiful." And instantly iconic!!! Amy pointed out how the pair seem to always turn "towards each other," specifically during "confusing moments," and Ari opened up about the lengths she and Cynthia go to to maintain their bond: "Yes, and I think that's something we've worked hard to maintain. There's a lot of time that passes between the wrapping of the film and the press tour happening, and it's a check in here and there when you can." She continued: "We're both so busy but we do our very best to stay connected in that way and to take care of each other. Let's all take care of each other so that we can honor the project as much as humanly possible and do great work, is, like, the best lens ever. And I'm so lucky that [director] Jon Chu is the king of that exact thing that we're talking about."
