Margaret Colin had several special reasons to go into work every day - her Three Wisest Men costars! "Tyler [Hynes] is definitely the prankster. And then, of course, Miles [Marthaller], you know. We got a kid and they're always playing with the boy, tossing him in the air, playing air guitar with him, wrestling with him, chasing him around the set," Colin, 67, exclusively told Us Weekly days before the Hallmark film's Saturday, November 15, premiere. "It's such a good time because these guys are such the characters that Paul [Campbell] and Kimberley [Sustad] wrote. They're such good men and so are these actors," Colin gushed about her onscreen sons, Hynes, 39, Paul Campbell and Andrew Walker. "So the meshing of these guys with their sense of humor and their work ethic and the quality of person that they are is stunning to be around," she continued. "And they think I hang the moon, so it's a lot of nice eye candy. What can I say?" Tyler Hynes and Paul Campbell Tease Tears and Slo-Mo Struts in 'Wise Men 3' Colin said it was "a great group to be a part of," noting this was the third installment of the popular holiday franchise. While discussing the changes her character Barbara faces in Three Wisest Men, Colin told Us that her experience of being a mom in real life helped her prepare for the role. The former Gossip Girl actress shares two adult children (sons Sam Deas, 35, and Joseph Deas, 32) with her husband of 36 years, soap star Justin Deas. "I have the best sons. My Sam and my Joe are fabulous," Colin said of her family. "Joe got to meet my TV sons as well. And he's a big fan of the movies because it's men of character telling a really sweet, positive story, handling things with a kind of brotherly camaraderie." The trio play brothers Taylor, Stephan and Luke Brenner, respectively, who find their lives turned upside down after one of them brings home an abandoned baby. The movie became Hallmark's most-watched film of the year, sparking the follow-up Three Wiser Men and a Boy in 2024 and the newly released Three Wisest Men, which sees Colin's Barbara unravel the family's Christmas by selling their childhood home right before the holidays. Colin said she's blown away by the reaction from fans. 'Three Wisest Men' Stars Reflect on Breaking the 'Norms' of Hallmark Films "They've never had three installments of a film based on because the audience liked it. That's crazy, and that we were able to do it. I mean, when we got away with doing two, I was like, 'Who knew?' And then this one came on the heels," the actress shared while dropping that there is an alternative ending in the extended version of the movie on Hallmark Plus. Us recently spoke to Campbell, who praised the network for its progress in diversity. "Not everybody's going to love that story line, Hallmark has been really great about letting us tell that because it's necessary to sort of diversify in the way that we tell stories and be more inclusive," he said. Three Wisest Men is out now.
