Arturo Holmes / Getty Images for Pro Padel League The Republican US representative from Georgia has been making a lot of noise lately for breaking from her party on various issues, the most recent instance being whether to release files related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. Tom Williams / CQ-Roll Call, Inc via Getty Images Somewhat expectedly, Trump hasn't been happy about any of this - going as far as to un-endorse MTG and refer to her as a "ranting lunatic." He's also called her "Marjorie 'Traitor' Greene." Bloomberg / Bloomberg via Getty Images Yesterday, Marjorie posted on X that she's allegedly faced "a hot bed of threats against me [that] are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world. The man I supported and helped get elected."I am now being contacted by private security firms with warnings for my safety as a hot bed of threats against me are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world.
The man I supported and helped get elected.
Aggressive rhetoric attacking me has historically...- Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 (@RepMTG) November 15, 2025 Twitter: @RepMTG "Aggressive rhetoric attacking me has historically led to death threats and multiple convictions of men who were radicalized by the same type rhetoric being directed at me right now. This time by the President of the United States. As a woman I take threats from men seriously. I now have a small understanding of the fear and pressure the women, who are victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his cabal, must feel." Tom Williams / CQ-Roll Call, Inc via Getty Images This is, somewhat improbably, where Sophia comes in - as the One Tree Hill star posted a fairly solid rebuke to MTG's claims on X as well. Bruce Glikas / Bruce Glikas/WireImage "None of this is okay. None of it. AND. Now that it's happening to you personally, are you going to apologize to all of the people you've unleashed this goon squad on?" she wrote, citing Congressperson Jasmine Crockett (who also posted a response to MTG recently) as an example of someone who's been caught in the crosshairs of toxic MAGA discourse. ANDREW CABALLERO-REYNOLDS / AFP via Getty Images "@JasmineForUS and the rest of the women whose threats you've laughed off? You want us to believe you're changing? Then CHANGE the behavior and call off all the dogs." Kent Nishimura / Getty Images OK then! Do we live in a world where a sitting representative is about to have a dialogue about decorum with a former One Tree Hill actor? We will have to wait and find out - but, let's be real, stranger things have happened.
