Kris Boyd is fighting for his life. The New York Jets cornerback is currently in critical condition after being struck in an NYC shooting. The New York Post cited police and team officials in reporting the 29-year-old, who signed to the Jets in March of this year, was shot in Midtown early on Sunday morning. He was rushed to the Bellevue Hospital, where he's now fighting for his life. Related: Jimmy Kimmel's Best Friend's Cause Of Death Revealed According to police, Boyd was outside Sei Less restaurant at around 2:00 a.m. when an argument turned violent and an unnamed shooter fired two rounds, striking the athlete in the abdomen. Law enforcement sources told the outlet the shooter was fleeing in a BMW X8 SUV, while a Mercedes-Benz Maybach, was seen fleeing the scene. However, eyewitnesses are not currently cooperating with cops. A Rhino GX armored SUV was also spotted at the crime scene. Jets representatives have since issued the following statement: "We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time."
