Stefon Diggs got called out for tossing a football to a New England Patriots cheerleader just hours after it was announced that he and girlfriend Cardi B welcomed their first baby together. "Bruh what's wrong with Stefon Diggs 😂😂😂," Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty wrote via X on Thursday, November 13. McCourty, 38, shared a clip of Patriots wide receiver Diggs, 31, attempting to toss the ball to a team cheerleader on the sidelines during the first quarter of New England's 27-14 victory over the New York Jets on Thursday night. Earlier in the day, rapper Cardi B, 33, announced she and Diggs had welcomed their first baby. Football fans had a field day with Diggs' gesture on Thursday, flooding McCourty's post with comments. "This man is always on the hunt 😂👀," one person wrote. Another said, "He must have written his number on the ball before the play." There was also speculation that Cardi might not be thrilled about Diggs' move. "You know they arguing about this as soon as he get home," one person commented. Another wrote, "That's his next baby mom, Cardi b gotta get this man under control." "We can confirm that Mr. Diggs is the father," Lopera's lawyer, Tamar Arminak, said in a statement to Us Weekly on November 6. "We are hopeful that he will meaningfully contribute to the child's life and coparent with our client, who has had to do everything on her own thus far." In December 2024, Lopera filed a paternity suit against Diggs, requesting legal and physical custody of the baby. Lopera asked the court to order Diggs to pay child support and cover the expenses related to her pregnancy, in addition to her legal fees. Diggs responded to the lawsuit in July, saying he wasn't certain that he was the father and requested genetic testing. The NFL star also asked for joint legal and physical custody of the child if the DNA test proved paternity. As for Cardi B, she previously welcomed daughter Kulture in July 2018, son Wave in September 2021 and daughter Blossom in September 2024, all of whom she shares with her ex-husband, Offset.
