Variety / Variety via Getty Images Sharing a series of stories on her Instagram highlighting what he could do with his fortune, Billie didn't hold back in her critique... @billieeilish / Instagram: @billieeilish She shared suggestions made by @myvoicemychoiceorg, such as ending world hunger. @billieeilish / Instagram: @billieeilish He could use the money to save endangered species. @billieeilish / Instagram: @billieeilish Or rebuild Gaza. @billieeilish / Instagram: @billieeilish Then Billie delivered the following message to Musk, straight from the heart: @billieeilish / Instagram: @billieeilish "FUCKING PATHETIC PUSSY BITCH COWARD" @billieeilish / Instagram: @billieeilish This moment taps into a bigger cultural conversation about Musk, who's been facing a lot of backlash, most recently from renowned author Joyce Carol Oates, who called him "totally uneducated , uncultured." @JoyceCarolOates / x.com At the recent Tesla, Inc. annual shareholder meeting held in Austin, Texas, over 75 % of the votes cast went in favor of a mammoth compensation package for Elon Musk that could be worth up to $1 trillion in stock over the next decade, but the payout is not guaranteed. Musk must meet an extremely challenging set of milestones, including reaching an $8.5-trillion market cap for Tesla, delivering 20 million vehicles annually, and deploying a robot taxi fleet, among other targets, before the full value vests. Billie was also recently praised during the 2025 WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards, where she accepted the Music Innovator Award and called out some of the wealthiest people in the room, including Mark Zuckerberg. Taylor Hill / Getty Images She spoke about the darkness of the world right now and the urgent need for empathy and help. "If you have money, it would be great to use it for good things and maybe give it to some people that need it." She then challenged billionaires directly, saying, "If you're a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? No hate, but give your money away, shorties." The same evening, it was also announced that Billie would be donating $11.5 million from her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour proceeds to food equity and climate justice causes.
