The second photo featured the 60-year-old standing in front of a bathroom mirror wearing a beige bra and underwear set, writing, "This is also me. Home, not great light, not posing." Of the two photos, Paulina said, "This is 60." "This is 60 years of sometimes healthy eating, sometimes not," she continued. "60 years of sometimes working out, sometimes not. 60 years of doing the right things followed by doing the wrong things and over again and again." The Sports Illustrated star added that her current self is also the sum of "learning of what works and what doesn't" throughout her life.readSupermodel Paulina Porizkova Gets Candid About Aging With Makeup Transformation"And just as I think I've figured it out, everything changes and I have to start again," she added. "The beauty of 60 is that now I understand the importance is IN the lesson, not passing the exam." "Here's an unfortunate angle and seriously unflattering light," she wrote on Instagram in June, alongside a photo taken from a low angle. "In selecting my photos for IG, I almost unconsciously gravitate to pictures where I look best-as in youngest. Least wrinkled, least saggy." And while she was always prepared for those who chose to criticize her looks, she hoped to give her fans a look at "someone that mirrors them."Kevin Kane/Getty ImagesThe supermodel-who got engaged to writer Jeff Greenstein earlier this month-has also been open about the treatments she's received over the years, noting that although she hasn't turned to cosmetic injectables, she has received skin-tightening treatments over the years, like Ultherapy and Morpheus. Right now I feel like we've made a lot of strides, but nobody's allowed to age or look pregnant. I feel all of that stuff has gotten worse. It's a brilliant way to keep people enslaved, by having them horrified by themselves. Well I refuse to feel shame about being human," she told the Los Angeles Times.
