The actress and producer will be honored at the first-ever "Golden Eve" primetime special airing Jan. 8, 2026. "Sarah Jessica Parker's career embodies the very spirit of the Carol Burnett Award," said Golden Globes President Helen Hoehne in a news release. "Her trailblazing impact on television and her dedication to storytelling across stage and screen have left an indelible mark on popular culture. We are honored to celebrate her extraordinary contributions to entertainment." Additional Golden Globe nominations for best actress followed in 2006 for Parker's part in the comedy The Family Stone and in 2016 for her leading role in the HBO comedy-drama series Divorce. The Carol Burnett Award, celebrating the lasting impact of individuals' television career achievements on both the industry and audiences, was first created in 2019 and awarded to its namesake. Since then, the honor has been presented to Ellen DeGeneres, Norman Lear and Ryan Murphy. Following the success of last year's inaugural Golden Gala, which honored Cecil B. DeMille Award recipient Viola Davis and Carol Burnett Award recipient Ted Danson, the Golden Globes will now air "Golden Eve" as an exclusive marquee event and special "offering viewers an unprecedented look at the honorees' legacy while celebrating their body of work with personal stories, unforgettable Golden Globes moments, curated career retrospectives, and special presenters." As previously announced, Dame Helen Mirren will receive the 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award, which will also be presented during the taping. "Golden Eve" will air Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network and stream on Paramount+. The special will take place during Golden Week, a new weeklong lineup of kick-off events and a Golden Globes-branded experience across Paramount platforms leading up to the 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Emmy-nominated comedian and actress Nikki Glaser, and airing live Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026.
