The much-anticipated Dulquer Salmaan film Kaantha is now facing legal trouble days before its scheduled release. B Thiagarajan, the grandson of legendary actor and singer MK Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, has approached the Madras High Court seeking a permanent ban on the film's release. He claims that the movie presents his grandfather as a man of questionable character who went blind and died in poverty, a portrayal he says is completely untrue. Thiagarajan argues that his grandfather led an honourable life, was compassionate, followed strong moral values, and never consumed alcohol.
