Pierce Brosnan has reunited with estranged son Christopher after years of ups and downs. Brosnan, 72, was spotted with Christopher, 52, in London's Notting Hill earlier this month. According to the Daily Mail, the father-son duo were accompanied by Brosnan's son Dylan, 28, for a dinner at the restaurant Dorian. In photos obtained by the outlet, Brosnan was seen leaving the restaurant in an all-black outfit while walking with Christopher and Dylan. Brosnan was previously married to late wife Cassandra Harris, who welcomed Christopher and late daughter Charlotte during her marriage to late husband Dermot Harris. Brosnan adopted Christopher and Charlotte following Dermot's death in 1986. Brosnan and Cassandra, who were married from 1980 to 1991, also shared son Sean, 42. (Cassandra and Charlotte died of ovarian cancer in 1991 and 2013, respectively.) Pierce Brosnan Makes Rare Red Carpet Appearance with Son Dylan Brosnan is also the father of sons Dylan and Paris, 24, whom he shares with wife Keely Shaye Smith. (The pair tied the knot in 2001.) Years before their reconciliation, Brosnan opened up about his decision to "cut Christopher off" over his battle with drug addiction. "Christopher is still very lost. Shockingly so. I know where he is, but he's having a hard life," Brosnan told Playboy in 2005, per Page Six. "I can only have strong faith and believe he will recover. He has tested everybody in this family but none more so than himself. He knows how to get out. He doesn't want to." Brosnan continued, "It's painful because you shut down. You never completely cut them off, but I have cut Christopher off. I had to say, 'Go. Get busy living, or get busy dying.' He has my prayers." Pierce Brosnan Celebrates 23rd Anniversary With 'Beautiful' Wife Keely In 2022, Brosnan mentioned Christopher in an Instagram post for Father's Day. "My love forever to you dear sons, Paris, Dylan, Sean and Christopher, thank you deeply for your love ❤️ on this Father's Day," he captioned an image, which showed him posing with Sean, Dylan and Paris. "My fatherly instincts are purely my own," he told Esquire in 2017. "They relate back to no one, because there was no one." The actor noted that fatherhood is "a very arduous road" before recalling his only meeting with his father in 1984. (Brosnan was raised by a single mother.) "I had a Sunday afternoon with him," he recalled to the outlet. "A story about this and that, had a few pints of Guinness, and we said goodbye. I would have loved to have known him. He was a good whistler, and he had a good walk. That's as much as I know about him." Pierce Brosnan Says 'Many Hardships' Strengthened Marriage to Wife Keely Brosnan has also been hesitant about his children following in his acting footsteps. "Just because it's f***ing hard work," Brosnan told GQ in 2022 during a joint interview with Dylan and Paris. "It's a cross to bear. You're constructing and destroying yourself." Dylan and Paris have pursued careers in modeling and art, noting that Brosnan has given them valuable life lessons, including humor. "Don't be afraid to make fun of yourself," Dylan shared of Brosnan's advice.
