However, these celebrities are rewriting the narrative, and proving that despite the cutthroat competition that can be found within the industry, they will always be a girl's girl at heart - and I couldn't be more here for it! 1. Back in 2007, the entire world was dunking on Britney Spears, who famously shaved her hair off in February of that year. She also had two stints in rehab, was court-ordered to give up custody of her sons, and hit the headlines when she attacked the paparazzi with an umbrella. Jeffrey Mayer / Getty Images As a result, the pop icon became the butt of everybody's jokes - but one person who refused to jump on the bandwagon is her industry peer Beyoncé, who defiantly rejected the bait when 60 Minutes Australia interviewer Liam Bartlett referred to Brit as "a complete disaster." Nine Network In fact, Beyoncé sprang to Britney's defense and even alluded to the fact that she was surrounded by people who didn't have her best interests at heart - how Britney's family treated her and handled her career would not be exposed until years later. When pushed on the "difference" in how she and Britney have handled their fame with just a three-month age gap, Beyoncé articulately said: "I mean, people handle different things differently, and thank god I've been surrounded by honesty. And thank god I've chosen to still be around people that I trust - and it's really difficult, when you're a celebrity, to know the difference." And Beyoncé is far from the only star to defend another female celebrity in an interview, with Lady Gaga famously calling out Jay Leno's inappropriate treatment of Sofía Vergara in 2011, when both women were guests on the show. Nbc / Getty Images Within minutes of Sofía's interview, Jay had made multiple references to her appearance before drawing the audience's attention to a photo of the actor with her son, Manolo, who was 19 at the time. Jay said: "Here's you and your son... That looks like some cougar thing, do you believe he's your son?" Michael Tran / Getty Images Understandably, Sofía was visibly uncomfortable with the question, and Gaga immediately picked up on this and interjected: "Jay! That's so sick!" As Jay attempted to explain himself, Gaga refused to let him get away easily. He stuttered: "I know but I mean, when you see them together, it's hard to believe that he's your son," to which Gaga firmly said: "It's not hard to believe." Then there was the time that radio host Kyle Sandilands attempted to drag Cameron Diaz's Charlie's Angels co-star Drew Barrymore during her 2014 appearance on KIIS 106.5's Kyle & Jackie O Show. It all started when Kyle compared an actor playing Cameron's onscreen daughter to former child star Drew, adding: "Let's hope she misses out on the Drew Barrymore drug years, because those were a great thing to watch, but not so good to be in, I'd imagine." Tommaso Boddi / Getty Images But Cameron was having none of it, replying: "I'm sure, Kyle, you've never been through a drug phase, have you? Or alcoholism or anything like that? Pretty clean...always did it right? Congratulations." Kyle was clearly stunned, and responded by telling Cameron that he is "friends with Benji," referring to Cameron's husband, Benji Madden. Needless to say, that didn't make a difference, and despite co-host Jackie O's attempt to redirect the conversation, Cameron ended the interview, saying: "We have to go now, sorry, they're wrapping us up." Back in 2018, Jessica Chastain hit the headlines when she used her platform to bring awareness to the fact that Michelle Williams was not paid fairly for All the Money in the World reshoots compared to her male co-star, Mark Wahlberg. The Washington Post first broke that Michelle was "getting a fraction" of Mark's salary in November 2017, but the story didn't really make waves until Jessica tweeted about it in January 2018. Mike Coppola / Getty Images Michelle revealed that Jessica personally reached out to her about the pay gap, and asked if she could try and raise awareness about this disparity on social media, with Michelle telling Vanity Fair that her response was: "Yeah, sure, go for it. But it's already out there, and nobody cared." Still, Jessica tweeted: "I heard for the reshoot s
