She's wearing a blue spacesuit and a black wavy wig, seemingly calling back to the popstar's much-talked-about trip to space in April this year. Blue Origin / Via youtu.be The post - shared on X by an apparent Katy fan - was captioned, "Orlando Bloom's new gf dressing up as Katy Perry in her space costume." And it didn't take long for it to go very, very viral. @NaughtyKp / Via x.com In the replies and interactions, hundreds of people have criticized Orlando for apparently being "okay with his new gf mocking the mother of his child," calling the whole thing "odd" and "weird." "What an asshole move," someone wrote. "And to the new gf, do whatever you want with your new relationship but to insult your ex's former partner is just tacky behaviour." Dia Dipasupil / Getty Images But, amid all the chatter, we need to take a look at the facts here. Firstly, the woman in the photos is actor Rachel Lynn Matthews. Is she dressed as Katy? Yes, it would seem that way. But is she Orlando's new girlfriend? No, not even close. An uncropped version of the original photo of Rachel and Orlando reveals that she posted it with a light-hearted caption, indicating that it was more of an exciting chance encounter between the two than a cute couple's picture. @rachellynnmatthews / Via Instagram: @https://www.instagram.com/rachellynnmatthews/?hl=en So, is it still a bit odd that Orlando posed for a picture with someone dressed as his recent ex? Probably, yes. But who knows what the conversation actually sounded like? Maybe he thought Rachel was dressed as Lauren Sánchez Bezos? Your guess is as good as mine. Blue Origin / Via youtu.be The worst part of it is that Rachel's Instagram comments are now being flooded with hate comments from Katy's fans, many of whom probably fell for the viral rumor and believe that she's actually Orlando's new girlfriend. At least we can say that we know the truth! Katy's not commented on this, but we'll be sure to let you know if she does. I'd genuinely be a bit flattered.
