Jeff Kravitz / FilmMagic If you remember, at the 2024 MTV VMAs, Chappell had an intense interaction with a photographer who shouted "shut the fuck up," telling him "you shut the fuck up" before scolding him, "Not me, bitch." Udo Salters / Patrick McMullan via Getty Images At the premiere for Olivia Rodrigo's Guts world tour, Chappell also confronted another photographer, asking him to apologize for his behavior at the Grammys, claiming he was "disrespectful" to her. "You were so rude to me. And I deserve an apology for that. You need to apologize to me." Emilio Madrid / Getty Images for Netflix In the end, the press appeared to heed the attendant's warning, and Chappell walked the carpet wearing a custom newspaper skirt by Efrain Nava and a headpiece designed by Manny Robertson as an homage to Cyndi's look from her 1986 "True Colors" music video. "GOOD now they need to start doing it to EVERYONE," one person wrote. Twitter: @w0rmzf4rbra1nz "i hate that they're acting like she's a diva and that this is an abnormal request when she's just asking to be treated like a person and not be yelled at??? like what's so funny about wanting people to be nice....," someone wrote. Twitter: @lauryngitis Another person said, "Why dont they brief the press to act this way to everyone? Her incident should have made them change for everyone, not just to have them treat her specifically nicer." Twitter: @m0netion This person said, "she's setting the standard tbh I hope more women in the public eye continue to stand their ground and not tolerate the borderline harassment from these ppl." x.com "AS THEY SHOULD. they can laugh as much as they want as long as they stfu as soon as they breathe her same air. queen is setting boundaries. she's demanding respect and she's getting it. she's healing thousands of generations," another X user wrote. Twitter: @yvsunflower "oh those male photographers laughing at a very reasonable boundary from a woman who's been mistreated by male photographers in the past fills me with so much rage," someone else said. Twitter: @longhair_nobra Finally, someone said, "i love that they're making an effort to respect her, don't love that the male photographers responded by LAUGHING but. respecting JUST chappell is not enough. why stop at her? don't fucking scream & be nasty to ANYONE like ????" Twitter: @okteviablakee What do you think about the red carpet attendant's warning and how the photographers treated Chappell Roan?
