Raymond Hall / Getty Images, Gareth Cattermole / Getty Images A source told the Daily Mail, "Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months." Frazer Harrison / Getty Images While the outcome of the reported investigation wasn't shared, the situation was described as "brutal" for David, who was said to have received support from his then-wife, Lily Allen, throughout the process. Jamie Mccarthy / Getty Images "Lily supported him throughout it all," the source claimed. "It was a brutal time." Rodin Eckenroth / Getty Images Representatives for both Millie and David did not respond to BuzzFeed's requests for comment. However, an executive producer for the show recently addressed the claims. Theo Wargo / Getty Images At last night's premiere of Stranger Things Season 5, executive producer Shawn Levy was asked how he handles situations like the recent "complaint between two stars on the show" to ensure "everyone feels safe and respected" on set. Jeremy Chan / Getty Images "Well, you just answered the question," Shawn said. "I mean, at the end of the day, that's the job - you have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe, and so we did everything to build that environment. And we're proud of the fact that we did so." Eric Charbonneau / Getty Images Speaking specifically about the recent headlines, Shawn added that they've been "wildly inaccurate." "There's so much noise around it," he said. "But the truth is that we view this crew and this cast as a family, so we treat each other with respect, and that's always been bedrock." @hollywoodreporter At the finale premiere of StrangerThings, director and executive producer #ShawnLevy calls some of the stories circulating in the news this week - which claim that #MillieBobbyBrown accused co-star #DavidHarbour of harassment and bullying - "wildly inaccurate" ♬ original sound - Ryan Fish - Ryan Fish The Hollywood ReporterIn another interview with The Hollywood Reporter, co-creator Ross Duffer was also asked about the bullying claims. "Obviously, you understand I can't get into personal on-set matters," said Ross, who was joined by his brother and fellow show creator Matt Duffer. "But I will say we've been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point, they're family and we deeply care about them. So, you know, nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy." For their part, Millie and David have not publicly addressed the claims, but they appeared together on the same red carpet, laughing and chatting. Roger Kisby / Getty Images In a separate interview, Millie also shared warm words about her co-star. "I've obviously had a really special bond with David because we have a father-daughter relationship, and we do every scene together, and you'll really get to see that in Season 5," she told Entertainment Tonight. "It's been so special to have him along the journey for me, Winona [Ryder], the kids...I'm really honored to have played Eleven and to have met such amazing people along the way." @entertainmenttonight Millie Bobby Brown says it's been "so special" to have David Harbour on the 'Stranger Things' journey with her. 🖤 #strangerthings #milliebobbybrown #davidharbour ♬ original sound - Entertainment Tonight Entertainment Tonight I guess I'm off to binge Stranger Things Season 5.
