Season 2 of Maxton Hall got off to a very rough start when James cheated on Ruby just days after they finally got together. During the Thursday, November 6, premiere, James (Damian Hardung) found out his mother had died and ran straight to Ruby's (Harriet Herbig-Matten) house. He left before she saw him after seeing how happy she was with her family. James then went on a drunken bender, which Ruby didn't know about until later. Ruby thought James went missing and joined his sister, Lydia (Sonja Weißer), to track him down.
