Despite viral talk about proper Love Is Blind engagement ring etiquette, the answer was quite simple for "Sparkle Megan" Walerius. "This was not shown, [but] we were looking at different rings," Megan, 35, said on the Thursday, November 6, episode of the "Off the Vine" podcast. "I mean, my ring was beautiful but [it wasn't my first choice]." During the Love Is Blind pod experiment, contestants are able to select a diamond ring from a preselected assortment for free. There is, of course, an option to upgrade the sparkler for an additional fee or bring in an heirloom, though most Netflix stars go with one of the provided rings. Megan, for her part, accepted a proposal from Jordan Keltner during season 9, who presented her with a show-provided sparkler. They ultimately went their separate ways before the scheduled wedding day - and she kept the ring. "Prior to the show airing, we were checking in with one another. I thought that was big of him to do a wellness check." Within four months of ending her engagement, Megan found love with Paul Wegman and discovered that they were expecting their first baby. Megan gave birth to son Brooks earlier this year - news she kept under wraps until the season 9 reunion. Jordan, meanwhile, was aware of her pregnancy before the reunion aired on October 29. "It was always on my radar, but I think the timing thing was tricky because I [didn't] want to tell him too far in advance 'cause I was keeping it very close to my chest," Megan said on the Wednesday, November 5, episode of the "Viall Files" podcast. I was a little superstitious, like, I had a good pregnancy, but even [with] the birth, I'm like, 'God forbid anything happens.' ... First and foremost was getting baby here healthy, and that was two months before [the season] was airing." While Paul, 46, encouraged Megan to reach out to Jordan, social media rumors beat her to the punch. "I reached out to Megan. She was transparent, which I appreciate. If I were to find out right here, right now, I think that would have been jarring. So, I do appreciate the transparency." Since Love Is Blind concluded, Megan has been focused on her new life as a first-time mom. "I mean, the newborn snuggles were so much fun," Megan exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month.
