But Harry's team insists that's not the case. "The events were planned nearly a year ago. The date of the main event, the dinner, is set by the charity, not Prince Harry," a representative for Harry said. "The period of Remembrancetide traditionally extends from the 1-11 of November and has done since 1918, over 100 years. He can't choose to move those dates." _ A spokesperson for Prince Harry also noted that the date of the Duke of Sussex's visit was only recently announced because the Spare author is "not afforded the same level of security and protection as other working members of the royal family." Said the rep, "We are always guided, as to when we can announce trips like this, by the advice given to us by his private security advisers and the event's security team." _ There's been a long history of Prince Harry and Prince William scheduling conflicting engagements. In 2024 when the Prince of Wales attended the Earthshot Awards in Cape Town, for example, the Duke of Sussex showed up at the Pat Tillman Foundation's 20th Annual Tillman Honors gala in Chicago. During William's annual appearance at the ceremony in Singapore in 2023, Harry delivered a speech at the Stand Up for Heroes event in New York City. When the future king of England and Kate Middleton visited Boston for the event in 2022, Harry and Meghan Markle dropped the trailer for their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan. _ Prince William and Prince Harry show no signs of reconciling anytime soon. "Their relationship is at an all-time low," a source alleged. "It's as if something has pushed William even further away from the prospect of a reconciliation. He is adamant that he wants nothing to do with his brother. He is more upset with him than ever."
