The EE-3 carbine blaster that the fan-favorite character used in 1980's The Empire Strikes Back is among the items heading to auction next month from Propstore. Believed to be the only original hero EE-3 carbine blaster that Boba Fett (played by Jeremy Bulloch) used in the Oscar-winning sequel, the prop has been screen, photo and serial number-matched. It has a presale value estimate ranging from $462,000 to $924,000. Among the other high-profile items heading to the block as part of the Winter Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction is Will Ferrell's costume that he wore as Buddy in the 2003 holiday classic Elf and estimated to hit up to $264,000. The signature outfit is screen-matched to the elevator scene in which Buddy pushes every button in the elevator before noting, "Looks like a Christmas tree!" Elf In keeping with the holiday spirit, the auction will feature an assortment of items from the personal archives of late actor Alan Rickman.
