Chelsea Freeman, the wife of Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman, was excited to get home after the team's dramatic World Series victory. "These boys have been troopers. Back to USA baby 🇺🇸," Chelsea shared via her Instagram Story on Monday, November 3, showing one of her boys looking out an airplane window on the flight from Toronto to Los Angeles. The Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in a classic Game 7 at Toronto's Rogers Centre on Saturday, November 1, earning Los Angeles their second consecutive championship. Freddie, 36, and Chelsea share three sons: Charlie, 9, Brandon and Maximus, both 4. Travis Kelce Reacts as Buffalo Bills Fans Heckle Him During Massive Win Chelsea was on hand throughout the Dodgers' playoff run, including being in Toronto for the riveting series-clincher on Saturday. "I've never been more nervous during a baseball game," Chelsea told Los Angeles' Fox 11 on the field after the victory. "My hands were sweaty, I was shaking. It was such a rollercoaster of emotions. I feel like it makes the win so much extra special because we had to work so hard for it." Freddie is now a three-time World Series champion - he also won as a member of the Atlanta Braves in 2021 - but Chelsea called the 2025 World Series victory "completely different" thanks to the off-the-field story lines that the team experienced together. Courtesy of Chelsea Freeman/Instagram Before the start of the World Series, the Dodgers announced pitcher Alex Vesia would be taking a leave of absence to deal with a "deeply personal family matter" involving his pregnant wife, Kayla. "The group of guys that we have on this team - and the women - are just absolutely incredible," Chelsea said. "They deserve it so bad. We've had a hard year as a Dodgers family. We really wanted to dedicate this to the Vesias. We love them and we miss them." Chelsea explained winning the World Series in Toronto was extra poignant for Freddie, whose late mom, Rosemary, grew up in nearby Peterborough, Ontario. Rosemary died of cancer in 2000 when Freddie was 10 years old. "You come to the place where she was born and raised and grew up and was around a lot in Toronto, you just feel a little closer to her," Freddie said during World Series Media Day before the start of the series. "I think that's why coming back here is so special for me. It just makes me feel like I'm closer to my mom." Bears' Rome Odunze Credits Girlfriend for Stability During Rollercoaster Year Freddie added, "I only got 10 years with her, and only about four years of memories. Those are the little ones I cherish, and it always seemed to be around Canadian things." Blue Jays fans were kind to Freddie throughout the series, but he admitted he was ready for anything. "I understand it if I get booed," Freeman said. "I get it. I am on the visiting team. But Canada and this country means a lot to my family and I. I'm very happy to be back here." The Freemans returned to California ahead of the team's victory parade and rally, which is scheduled for Monday in downtown Los Angeles.
