Bijou Phillips has kept a close bond with her daughter, Fianna, following her split from ex-husband Danny Masterson. Phillips tied the knot with Masterson in 2011 after seven years together. The pair welcomed their only child, Fianna Francis, in February 2014. After Masterson was found guilty on two counts of forcible rape for incidents that occured in the early 2000s in 2023, Phillips filed for divorce and requested full custody of their daughter. (Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison.) "Ms. Phillips has decided to file for divorce from her husband during this unfortunate time. Her priority remains with her daughter," her attorney Lauzon Paluch told TMZ in September 2023. "This period has been unimaginably hard on the marriage and the family. Mr. Masterson was always present for Ms. Phillips during her most difficult times of her life. Ms. Phillips acknowledges that Mr. Masterson is a wonderful father to their daughter." Masterson asked for visitation rights. In October 2025, Phillips reportedly submitted paperwork to change her daughter's name from Fianna Francis Masterson to Fianna Francis Phillips, per TMZ. A judge has yet to sign off on the request.
