But what should have been a celebratory moment was quickly overshadowed by a flood of negative comments about her appearance in the music video. The video includes close-up shots of Selena with her hair pulled away - but instead of focusing on the music, some people fixated on her face, speculating that she had cosmetic work done. Many users claimed Selena went overboard with Botox and filler - however, it's worth noting that some of the most-shared images appear to be altered to exaggerate Selena's features. Netflix / Via youtube.com Selena previously attributed the changes to her appearance to her lupus medication, which can cause swelling and weight gain. While she hasn't addressed this latest round of commentary, her friend Paige Reed suggested that Selena may have been experiencing complications during the video shoot, commenting under her Instagram post, "The fact you couldn't walk and still did this shoot is insane." "I've been in the internet for like 48 hours and despite minor benefits I might have to leave," she began. "Watched this Selena Gomez video, besides a few weird derp shots that ppl were able to clip and super misrepresent how she looks she looks extremely beautiful, is prob one of the most beautiful girls." How do we not utterly morally castigate someone who has a post like this blows up and chooses to keep the clout at the expense of everybodies mental health. "It shud not be ok to do high school level bullying," she stated. "Accounts shud be suspended for body shaming en masse. This is disturbing - in part because it's not even true if u actually watch this video."
