Tiffany Haddish is headed on a new - and perhaps at times unexpected - journey and bringing her childhood best friends along for the ride. Haddish, 45, is gracing our screens soon in a new Peacock original docuseries titled Tiffany Haddish Goes Off. Set to premiere on Thursday, November 13, the series is inspired by the 2017 film Girls Trip, which Haddish starred in alongside Regina Hall, Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith. The docuseries will follow Haddish and her "childhood friends on their vacation across Africa," the logline reads. There seems to be lots of heartfelt moments shared between Haddish and her best friends and a few surprises too, as Haddish even says, "I damn sure didn't expect to come back married," followed by clips of her dressed up and holding a bouquet. "What would you want your man to call you," one of Haddish's friends asks her. "Empress of the universe," she jokingly responds. In Girls Trip, four women reunite in New Orleans, Louisiana, to turn a friend's work trip into a much-need girls' reunion trip. In the trailer released by Peacock on Thursday, October 23, Haddish's girls' trip doesn't seem too far off from the film. Haddish is seen "letting loose" with her girlfriends Selena Martin, Shermona Long and Sparkle Clark. "I just want to be with people I feel safe with. I don't have to perform for," Haddish says. 23 Must-Watch Netflix Sitcoms to Stream Right Now (October 2025) Haddish and her "day-ones" are seen exploring different parts of the continent through bungee jumping, visiting animal habitats, cultural ceremonies, dancing in the street, volunteering, grocery shopping, etc. "I want to see everything," the Emmy Award-winning comedian and actress says in the trailer. The latter activity went viral on social media in 2024 after Haddish received backlash from people online that were confused by her surprise at the quality and amount of items in a grocery store in Zimbabwe. "Look at this grocery store. It's humungous, in Africa," Haddish said in the video posted to TikTok. Many online critics called Haddish's comments at the time "ignorant." It seems Haddish will touch on this in the series as she brings it up in the sneak peek. Tiffany Haddish Breaks Silence on Jason Lee Baby Photo "Some girl did a video last night. 'Tiffany Haddish seemingly shocked coming across a grocery store in Africa,'" she reads. "Social media, it can be so cruel," one of Haddish's friends says. "Everybody got an opinion. Everybody wants to try and tell me how to live my life," Haddish says in the trailer. "You didn't have any bad intent. We know your heart," one of Haddish's friends reminds her. The six-episode docuseries is produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions, in association with 3BMG, Will Packer Media, Glass Slipper Pictures, She Ready Productions and 1oneninety5 Productions. Throughout the series, "Haddish and her friends travel to multiple locations across Africa: Cape Town, South Africa; Victoria Falls and Harare, Zimbabwe and Zanzibar, Tanzania," a press release said. Tiffany Haddish Goes Off is available to stream exclusively on Peacock beginning Thursday, November 13.
