The company has renewed Project Runway for a 22nd season overall and the second on Disney outlets Freeform, Hulu and Disney+. The new seasons is set to premiere in 2026, though an exact date hasn't been set. Disney picked up Project Runway in October 2024 in a deal with producer Spyglass Media Group. The series made its debut on Freeform in July, with next-day streaming on Hulu and DIsney+. Longtime host Heidi Klum returned to the show for the first time since 2017, joined by judges Nina Garcia (who has been with the show for every season) and Law Roach and mentor (and season four winner) Christian Siriano. All four are set to return for season 22. Project Runway began life at Bravo in 2004 and ran for five seasons there, then moved to Lifetime for seasons six through 17 before going back to Bravo for seasons 18-20 and then to Freeform, Hulu and Disney+. Aggregate ratings figures for season 21 weren't immediately available. On Freeform, the season averaged about 252,000 same-day viewers, but that's likely only a fraction of its total, cross-platform audience. Project Runway consistently appeared in Hulu's "top 15 today" on-screen rankings during the season. Spyglass Media Group and Alfred Street Industries produce the series. Its executive producers are Gary Barber and Sean Hoagland for Spyglass; Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz, Nan Strait, Dan Volpe, Michael Rucker and San Heng serve for Alfred Street; and Klum, Siriano and Garcia.
