MORE: Follow Wonderwall on MSN for more top news _ According to a report, Prince Andrew, whose titles were ripped from him, canceled his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson's 66th birthday party that was supposed to take place on October 15 at their mansion in Windsor. _ Due to Prince Andrew's alleged friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, the former Duke of York announced he will no longer be using his royal titles. "In discussion with King Charles III and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded that the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the royal family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first," he said in a statement. "I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life. With His Majesty's agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honors which have been conferred upon me. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me." _ However, royal author Ingrid Seward thinks Prince Andrew should face a harsher punishment. "People are furious. He might not be a Duke anymore, but he still lives like a Prince," she said. "How can he possibly continue to live on the Windsor Park estate in a 30-room mansion? The time has come for King Charles III to tell Andrew to pack up and tell him, 'I'm sorry, take the money you've put into royal lodge and start a new life elsewhere.' His actions have played a large part in disgracing his family. Does he really want to be the man to play a part in bringing down the monarchy?" _ Numerous charities dropped Sarah Ferguson after alleged email correspondence between her and Jeffrey Epstein was leaked. "The duchess spoke of her regret about her association with [Jeffrey] Epstein many years ago and as they have always been, her first thoughts are with his victims. Like many people, she was taken in by his lies. As soon as she was aware of the extent of the allegations against him, she not only cut off contact but condemned him publicly, to the extent that he then threatened to sue her for defamation for associating him with [abusing children]," a spokesperson for the mother of two said. "She does not resile from anything she said then. This email was sent in the context of advice the duchess was given to try to assuage Epstein and his threats."
