Robin L Marshall / Getty Images The 69-year-old had a facelift earlier this year, later saying of the procedure, "I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy. Just because you get older, it doesn't mean you should give up on yourself...

If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully - meaning you don't want to do anything - then don't do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It's my version." The former means that the doctor will "dissect the face below the superficial surface of the skin...[and] cut into a thicker layer of fat, muscle, and fascia under it," rather than "yanking on the top layer like a bedsheet." ANDREA PATTARO / AFP via Getty Images As for the deep plane, a doctor will "cut into the face under the SMAS layer, actually freeing it from the ligaments that connect it to the deeper face muscles below." Writer Bridget Read notes, "[A doctor] could lift up a patient's entire cheek and redrape it back up on her cheekbone where it once sat, plush and rosy, before gravity pushed it down." It's not clear which kind of facelift Kris has had. Amy Sussman / Getty Images Plus, there's always makeup and good lighting!
