The prize, now in its seventh edition, is organized by European Film Promotion (EFP) in collaboration with the Arab Cinema Center (ACC). Yunan follows an exiled Syrian writer (played by Lebanese actor Georges Khabbaz) who travels to a remote North Sea island intending to end his life.
