Gwyneth Paltrow admitted she had not been keeping up with Timothée Chalamet's love life before working together on Marty Supreme. "I first met him at the costume test. I was asking him questions, trying to get to know him," Paltrow, 53, said in a Wednesday, October 15, interview with British Vogue, revealing when she first found out about Chalamet, 29, and girlfriend Kylie Jenner's relationship. "Everyone makes fun of me because I don't know anything. I was like, 'Do you have a girlfriend?' And he was like, 'I do,'" she said. "He mentioned that she had kids and I was like, 'That's so cool. I really love to hear that [from] a young man like you.'" (Jenner shares daughter Stormi, 7, and son Aire, 3, with ex-boyfriend Travis Scott.) Paltrow continued, "I understand a 45-year-old who has his own kids going out with a woman with kids, but it's a cool choice to go out with a young woman who has two kids. I respect it. I think it's kind of punk rock. But my point is I didn't know [it was] Kylie Jenner ..." "Kylie's really happy and relieved they finally made their debut," an insider exclusively told Us Weekly after the outing. "He makes her feel calm and confident and it is a different relationship from what she has had in the past." Jenner was in attendance at the premiere of Marty Supreme in New York City on October 7 at the New York Film Festival event. The Kardashians star also got the stamp of approval from Chalamet's mom, Nicole Flender. "I have to say she's lovely," Flender said of Jenner while speaking with Curbed in April. "She's very nice to me." Jenner donned a bomber jacket with "Marty Supreme" written across the front to support her boyfriend's latest project. Marty Supreme will be released by A24 in theaters on December 25.
