The man who is owed $500,000 by Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, exclusively spoke to Us Weekly about his efforts to seize the rapper's home. On Wednesday, October 15, Paul Saso, who represents Thomas Weidenmuller, told Us, "Judgments are not optional. Mr. Weidenmuller obtained a valid judgment, and like any judgment creditor, he is entitled to have it paid." "He has waited long enough, and we will take all lawful steps necessary to see that happen," Saso continued. "That said, we would invite [Minaj] to voluntarily satisfy the judgment, along with all post-judgment interest and enforcement costs - which would avoid the need for any sale and bring this matter to an immediate close." As Us first reported, Weidenmuller filed court documents on October 6 as part of his lawsuit against Minaj, 42, and Petty, 47, over an alleged assault. Weidenmuller asked the court to authorize the sale of Minaj's $20 million mansion in Hidden Hills. He claimed the proceeds would be used to pay off the mortgage and settle the debt she owes him. On Wednesday, Minaj spoke out about the legal battle on X. She alleged that a former business manager failed to notify her about Weidenmuller's case. Nicki Minaj Neilson Barnard/Getty Images Minaj said, "I have evidence that this was given to a business [manager] who never told me. My lawyers AND business [managers] (old & new) are AWARE. Let's see if they'll speak up or if I'll have to call them out by name. That same business [manager] STOLE from me MANY times." As Us previously reported, in his lawsuit, filed in 2022, Weidenmuller claimed he worked as a security guard at one of Minaj's shows in Germany in 2019. He claimed a fan broke the security barrier and jumped on the stage. Nicki Minaj Reportedly Sued for Assault and Battery, Denies Claims "The concert-goer was apprehended by Minaj's personal security team in under ten seconds after obtaining access to the stage and was escorted off stage seconds later. He was on stage for approximately fifteen seconds in total," the suit explained. The guard claimed the incident upset the entertainer. In court docs, Weidenmuller said he tried to step in when he saw Minaj berating a female security guard over the incident. The security guard said he was later summoned to the rapper's dressing room. Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion's Feud: A Complete Timeline The suit read, "Weidenmuller reported to the hallway outside of Minaj's dressing room, where he encountered Minaj, Petty, and two of Minaj's personal bodyguards." He said Minaj continued to yell at him about the incident. "While Minaj continued to scream at Weidenmuller, Petty repositioned himself behind [Weidenmuller] and out of his eyesight," Weidenmuller's lawyer wrote. Weidenmuller claimed Petty proceeded to, "without warning," punch from the side and hit him on the right side of his face. Nicki Minaj Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for The Met Museum/Vogue "Petty was provoked by Minaj," the suit alleged. The guard said he was "instantly in extreme pain," and he was sent to a hospital for treatment. He said he suffered a broken jaw as a result of Petty's alleged attack. He said he underwent the first surgery two days after being admitted to the hospital. He claimed he was unable to eat solid food "for some time and was required to sleep upright because, if he [laid] down horizontally, the concussion that he sustained would cause him to experience extreme headaches." Nicki Minaj Slams Jay-Z Over Tidal Deal, Asks 'Did You Know' About Diddy In a February 2024 filing, the alleged victim's lawyer noted, "Weidenmuller has endured approximately seven additional surgeries, and will still have to endure several more." The lawyer said Weidenmuller "now has five plates in his jaw and his jaw essentially needs to be fully reconstructed." In a declaration filed in court, Weidenmuller wrote, "The pain I felt in the moment was far more extreme than any pain I had ever experienced in my life or have felt since that day." Weidenmuller demanded unspecified damages for the alleged battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The court awarded Weidenmuller a default judgment in March 2024 after Minaj and Petty failed to respond to the case.
