Gwyneth Paltrow has some thoughts about that biography published earlier this year. "Oh God no," Paltrow, 53, told British Vogue when asked if she read Gwyneth: The Biography, written by Amy Odell and released in July. (While Paltrow's Vogue article was published on Wednesday, October 15, the interview was conducted one day after the book's publication.) When asked about the contents of the book, Paltrow quipped that it was "boring." She also revealed that her husband, Brad Falchuk "flicked through" the book - just because. "He said, 'It's as if somebody put in a prompt in ChatGPT and said: mine every Daily Mail article and write a biography about Gwyneth Paltrow,'" Paltrow said. "She totally missed everything, the truth of who I am, what my impact is." Gwyneth Paltrow Through the Years Falchuk, 54, apparently said it was "really badly written" while telling Paltrow about the book. "The stuff that I saw in People magazine, and [other outlets that picked it up], it was all rubbish, the things that I supposedly said," she continued. "I think it's very sexist. I was like, 'OK, hang on a sec. Why do the men get [journalist] Walter Isaacson and I get this hack?' You know?" Further discussing the book, Paltrow does note that it was a "boss" move that she practically discovered ghosting. "I didn't know that. Did I?" Paltrow said. "Oh, good. OK, I'll take that." She also addressed allegations about working at Goop that were sprinkled throughout the book. "That bothers me. 'Oh, Goop has a toxic culture.' That drives me insane because we have never had that," Paltrow claimed. "Granted we've had a couple of toxic people and, because of my fear of confrontation, maybe I didn't deal with it quickly enough. That does cascade down and I totally take responsibility for that." Odell's book alleges that Paltrow is sometimes "cold" with her employees, noting that those who "worked up the nerve to go into her office" allegedly experienced "impatience" and "attitude" from the actress. Odell wrote that if Paltrow got a reply "to one of her emails with 'thanks' or 'on it,' she'd tell them not to send those emails, because they were a waste of time." How Does Gwyneth Paltrow Feel About New Biography Focused on Her Life? One specific claim in Odell's book had to do with Paltrow and some urine. The actress once apparently "found pee on a toilet seat at the office" and it was allegedly addressed in a public Slack channel, Odell wrote. "Someone tinkled," Paltrow allegedly wrote to her employees. "Make sure to clean up after yourselves, I'd appreciate it." Despite the allegations from the book, Paltrow doubled down on her company having "a good culture," in the British Vogue interview, noting that it's something she's "so proud of." Paltrow is, however, aware that people might have different experiences. "We are all human beings who go to work, sometimes with unresolved stuff and that comes out. People can have bad work experiences anywhere," she added. "But I can guarantee if I dropped you into the Goop office in Santa Monica, you'd be like: 'What the f*** are these people talking about?' You would see really engaged, really brilliant, highly collaborative teams who are excited. So I don't like that kind of stuff - it impacts the team."
