"I just can't wait for the audiences to see this movie. I'm as proud of this movie as any that I've ever been involved with. I'm really, really excited to be here tonight." He said, "This role, you get to see, like, all of her many gifts. You know, she's somebody that grew up watching, you know, the classic musicals and, obviously, can do contemporary dance and all that... She really does it all in this movie - the acting and the singing and the dancing - and kind of embodies the whole spirit of it." He added, "She's fabulous, although that shouldn't be any surprise to anyone." Anadolu / Getty Images While the insider said she has "always enjoyed working with Ben," they made it clear that there's "no romantic reunion" with him. Axelle / Getty Images "They're in a really good place," the source shared. "They continue to support each other. They're both proud of what they accomplished together." Christopher Polk / Getty Images Jen and Ben originally dated from 2001 to 2004, breaking up just before they were due to get married. They reunited in 2021 and married in 2022, but split last summer. Recently, Jennifer called the breakup "the best thing that ever happened to me." Nbc / Getty Images "Because it changed me," she explained. "It helped me grow in a way that I needed to grow." Rich Polk / Getty Images Ben, for his part, told GQ earlier this year that he still has "nothing but respect" for Jennifer. Nbc / Getty Images "There's no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue," he said of their split. "The truth is, when you talk to somebody, 'Hey, what happened?' Well, there is no: 'This is what happened.' It's just a story about people trying to figure out their lives and relationships in ways that we all sort of normally do." He added that he didn't want to share more because it felt "embarrassing" and "vulnerable." BuzzFeed has contacted reps for Ben and Jen for comment on the latest report.
