Bobby Bones knows a thing or two about tough Dancing With the Stars experiences, but he's not so sure he's aligned with Hilaria Baldwin being "bullied" off the show. "I was reading about Hilaria Baldwin saying she was bullied off of Dancing With the Stars," Bones, 45, said in a Monday, October 13, TikTok. "As somebody who was treated like crap by the hardcore fans of the show, yeah, bullying happens. But you don't get bullied off the show. You get kicked off the show because nobody voted for you." He continued, "Or you didn't get scores. But she was a great dancer. She was somebody who came in with a ton of dance experience, obviously. But no no no, you didn't get bullied off the show. I don't know her, but you got eliminated because people didn't like you." Bones explained that he got "bullied like crazy" on the show but "people liked [him]," so he took home the season 27 title with partner Sharna Burgess in 2018. (Bones and Burgess' win has been a controversial one; the pair consistently had lower scores than the other finalists but came out on top thanks to his loyal fans.) Hilaria Baldwin Says 'Mean Girls' Ended 'Dancing With the Stars' Run "So that's bull crap," he continued. "Although, that's the meanest fan base of anything ever - Dancing With the Stars, the hard core fans. People that vote and love the show and have a good time, you guys are cool. But the hard cores? Bad people." Bones' comments come days after Baldwin, 41, took to Instagram Live after her elimination with pro Gleb Savchenko and claimed she was bullied off of the show. @mrbobbybones Dancing ..... ♬ original sound - Mrbobbybones "Very coordinated, very strategic bullying," Baldwin said on Friday, October 10. "And as I feel the darkness that undoubtedly brings to me, I always want to remember that my life belongs to the whole community and I want to leave a lasting mark of courage to speak up against what is simply wrong." Baldwin, for her part, is no stranger to controversy through the years. While Baldwin has been accused of utilizing a fake Spanish accent, she clapped back at critics and explained during the TLC series The Baldwins: "I'd be lying if I said [the drama] didn't make me sad and it didn't hurt and it didn't put me in dark places." Why Bobby Bones Says He 'Cheated' on 'DWTS' Before Controversial Win After her DWTS elimination, Baldwin opened up about her claims during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. "I'm very new to TikTok. I've only been on a couple months. It's interesting because there's a lot of mean girls. I guess what people were doing is they were having campaigns where they wouldn't just vote for their favorite - because you can vote 10 times for a couple - they were voting for all the other couples except us, so they were boosting everybody else and trying to drown out my fan base," Baldwin shared on Sunday, October 12. While Baldwin is "glad my other friends were voted for," she explained that she "obviously would love to dance." "I have such wonderful things to say. It was sad that it was like that," she continued. "There's more good people than bad people. And I just want one day that people can just see me and stop, like, the crazy stuff."
