"They need the royal family," the insider said of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. "Meghan is aware of that. Meghan knows that Harry won't be returning to royal duties, but on a human, personal level, [she wants for him to be] able to get on good terms with his father." _ Prince Harry reunited with King Charles III during his recent trip to England. The Duke of Sussex later accused his father's staff of sharing information about the get-together with the press. "The strength of the statement from [Harry's] team [calling out leaks about his meeting with Charles] was a sign of just how frustrated Harry's feeling and how he doesn't know who he can trust," royal expert Duncan Larcombe said. "He might be worrying that it's a hopeless cause and the efforts to reconcile with his dad are ruined. It's difficult for Harry. How do you reconcile with your father when you worry there are other people involved that you can't trust?" _ Royal journalist Jennie Bond claimed Prince Harry's U.K. return would upset Meghan Markle. "It would be natural for her to feel somewhat threatened by her husband being drawn back into the royal circle. So, I think she would have conflicting emotions about Harry meeting King Charles III, if this is indeed on the cards," she said. _ Royal writer Tina Brown - the late Princess Diana's close friend - thinks King Charles III wants to be close to Prince Harry again. "It's no secret that Charles desperately misses his prodigal son. Charles knows that in these times of ugly political discord, a fractured royal family is a bad look. But [the meeting] was also the fulfillment of paternal longing," she said.
