Heather Graham had a special relationship with late ex-boyfriend Heath Ledger - and it's one she'll never forget. "I feel proud that I dated him," Graham, 55, said on the Monday, October 13, episode of the "Are You a Charlotte?" podcast, reflecting on her romance with Ledger in 2000 prior to his 2008 death at age 28. During the podcast, host Kristin Davis recalled seeing the exes together and totally smitten more than two decades prior. The Sex and the City star couldn't help but gush over the former couple's obvious connection. "I think I was at a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, possibly on Sunset Blvd., and I think you were there. And I think you were there with Heath Ledger," Davis, 60, recalled of their Los Angeles run-in with Graham and Ledger in the early aughts. The actress noted that Ledger watched Sex and the City with Graham around the time she guest starred on the HBO series. (Graham played herself on two episodes in 2002 and 2003, while Davis portrayed one of the four main characters, Charlotte York, throughout the series and subsequent films.) "I remember us watching it and him being like, 'I can relate to this,'" Graham said on Monday of Ledger's response to the NYC-based show. Newsmakers/Getty Images Davis was pleasantly surprised that SATC was on Ledger's radar, especially since she was in awe of him and Graham when she saw them in L.A. years prior. "At the time you two were just this ray of light in this Coffee Bean," Davis said of the former couple. "You were kinda giggly and touching each other. I was like, [gasp sound]. I was like, 'Hold it together.' You were cute." Davis admitted she regretted not talking to Graham and Ledger, but had a good reason for leaving them alone. Because you seemed very free," she said. Graham appeared to know exactly what Davis was talking about, replying, "I was very in love with him when we dated. He's kinda amazing." The Boogie Nights actress added: "I wish he was still alive. That would be nice. [But] some of these really bright lights don't get to live so long." Following their split, Ledger had high-profile relationships with Naomi Watts from 2002 to 2004 and Michelle Williams, whom he met while filming 2005's Brokeback Mountain. Williams, 45, and Ledger welcomed their daughter, Matilda, in October 2005, before calling it quits two years later. Graham, for her part, has continued to keep Ledger's legacy alive, speaking highly of her ex-boyfriend often. "Going through my photos I found these. Just remembering this time. Heath Ledger was such a special person," Graham wrote via Instagram in February 2021, sharing pictures from their brief relationship. Two years later, she told Australia's Today, "[Heath] really brought so much joy into my life. He was a very soulful person. Obviously, he was very talented. I think he's a magical person and I feel lucky to have known him."
