Kate Gosselin is grateful for the small things as she recovers from her knee injury - which includes boyfriend Steve Neild. "Focusing on gratitude today," Gosselin, 50, wrote over a TikTok video shared on Thursday, October 9, highlighting her morning coffee, her gentle dogs, physical therapy, tasty lunches and Neild himself. "My boyfriend, whom I love even more for taking all this extra work that I am now," Gosselin wrote, sharing a photo of Neild setting up her wheelchair. "And my friend Lori, who came to take care of and support both of us!" The Kate Plus 8 alum further revealed that she's "still able to do some things" to help around the house. Who Is Kate Gosselin's Former Bodyguard Steve Neild? What We Know So Far "[It] makes me feel normal, and staves off depression," she added. "After all, gratitude is the best attitude." Gosselin was hospitalized late last month after sustaining a leg injury while playing with one of her pets. "Meika, my puppy, ran into me full-speed ahead," Gosselin explained in a September TikTok video. "I ended up with a tibial plateau fracture and [needed to have] surgery with plates and pins in my leg. ... [The] surgeons said it was life-altering. That was his opening line [to me] at 5 a.m, 'This is one of those things that's a life-altering event.' I was like, 'You got my attention.'" After Gosselin was discharged from the medical facility, she seemingly praised Neild's support. Courtesy of Kate Gosselin/TikTok "Breakfast made with extra love ... by you know who," Gosselin captioned a TikTok upload on Tuesday, October 7, with a laughing emoji, seemingly referring to her boyfriend. (Gosselin is reported to be dating her family's former bodyguard, Neild, which she has not publicly addressed. The reality TV matriarch has only referred to her beau as "Steve" in various social media videos.) Gosselin revealed during a September 22 TikTok livestream that she was off the market. "The answer to that question is actually, finally, yes. I am dating somebody for the past year to a little over a year, maybe like 14, 15 months," Gosselin teased of her dating life. "I am super, super happy. It's somebody that I've known for a really long time and I am very, very happy." At the time, Gosselin noted that her man preferred to stay out of the limelight. Kate Gosselin's Boyfriend Makes Subtle Appearance on Recent Livestream "He doesn't really want to be on TikToks. Can't blame him really I guess," she said. "Perhaps [you] will catch a peep of him here and there or once in a while going forward." Kate was previously married to Jon Gosselin from 1999 to 2009, who has since claimed that Kate cheated on him with Neild. (Kate has not responded to Us Weekly's request for comment.) Jon and Kate share eight children: twins Mady and Cara, both 24, as well as sextuplets Hannah, Alexis, Leah, Aaden, Joel and Collin, all 21. Kate remains close to all of her children except for Collin, from whom she's estranged. "Kate has no contact with [Collin]," Jon, 48, said on the "First Class Fatherhood" podcast in 2020. "Right now, it's very tumultuous pretty much because there's no contact between Collin and his other siblings." Collin has since alleged earlier this year that he's still estranged from his mother and most of his siblings.
