Like "Wi$h Li$t," which appears to call people out for prioritizing material things while billionaire Taylor apparently only wants to settle down and enjoy a cozy life with Travis Kelce. X @SweetYearning / Via x.com One viral tweet reads: "Wi$h Li$t is so funny because it's like 'ah yes, Taylor Swift, known for her lack of ambition and her ambivalence towards accolades and success.'" 2. Speaking of, some have been left underwhelmed by Taylor's love songs about Travis, with "Wood" becoming particularly renowned for her repeated allusions to Travis's manhood. Yes, really. X @swiftstpds / Via x.com "it's really funny to me how taylor is incapable of writing a love song about travis like you are set to MARRY this man taylor, and the best thing you can write about HIM, is 'redwood tree, ain't hard to see!' ........good luck babe!" an X user wrote. 3. In fact, a lot of people have found themselves longing for the love songs inspired by Taylor's previous muses, specifically Joe Alwyn, who Tay's most romantic songs are thought to be about. X @lovelastssoIong / Via x.com "what if you just called joe alwyn up," one asked. 4. Others side-eyed Taylor writing an anguish-ridden song about the hardship of being an eldest daughter, despite it being known that she had a pretty privileged upbringing, and her parents literally moved states so that they could support her dreams to become a singer as a young teen. For reference, Tay has one younger brother. X @wisteriasnroses / Via x.com Quote-tweeting the "Eldest Daughter" lyrics: "Every eldest daughter was the first lamb to the slaughter / So we all dressed up as wolves and we looked fire," one person wrote: "Pretending to be some abused parentified eldest daughter when you're from an affluent white family of two kids...where your parents literally catered to your dreams from a young age...like girl you don't go here please sit it out." 5. And "Eldest Daughter" triggered people more generally, too. One X user pointed out: "I keep seeing posts like 'Eldest daughters are always hiding their emotions' but I feel like I hear about their emotions quite a lot actually like they seem to be pretty vocal group." X @superkeara / Via x.com 6. Taylor has also been called out for the huge discrepancy between her public claim that she never looks at social media and her chronically online lyrics, like: "Everybody's so punk on the internet / Everyone's unbothered til they're not / Every joke's just trolling and memes / Sad as it seems, apathy is hot / Everybody's cutthroat in the comments / Every single hot take is cold as ice." X @JammieforjaMEs / Via x.com "For someone who isn't online she sure wrote a lot in that song about being online..." one popular tweet reads. 7. And, of course, there has been plenty of discourse about Taylor's apparent diss track about Charli XCX, "Actually Romantic," with conversation largely focusing on how she seemingly missed the entire point of Charli's 2024 song "Sympathy is a Knife." X @xenoluxx / Via x.com "referring to yourself as an 'english teacher' and 'tortured poet' yet not having the reading comprehension skills to understand the subtext and nuance of sympathy is a knife....right....." one tweet reads. 8. And Tay's sass in "Actually Romantic" has also landed like a lead balloon...this is what the taylor swift charli diss track leak sounds like pic.twitter.com/aD0IFUIDfQ- mollie (@itsmolliefox) October 2, 2025 X @itsmolliefox / Via x.com 9. Like, a really, really, big lead balloon..

The thing about Taylor swift is that she's just always trying to do this and it never really lands pic.twitter.com/XYtHeU2xxw- Timothy (@deliclit) October 3, 2025 X @deliclit / Lifetime / Via x.com 10. People specifically struggled with "Actually Romantic's" opening line: "I
