The satellite radio giant has inked a new multiyear deal with the former Fox News host, a pact that will see Kelly get her own branded channel on the SiriusXM lineup, taking over channel 111, formerly the Triumph channel. The channel will continue to run her daily show, with additional programming hosted by Kelly and others in the coming weeks. Other programming that had been on Triumph will move to channel 123 beginning next month. People can't stand those stilted, censored conversations anymore, which is exactly why this medium is thriving. I'm thrilled to deliver our bold brand of no-BS news live on SiriusXM and to be expanding my relationship with such a stellar, blue-chip brand and great partner," said Kelly. "Soon our listeners will have the Megyn Kelly Channel to enjoy and trust for the conversations and content they love." Earlier this year Kelly launched her own podcast network with an initial slate that included video podcasts hosted by journalist Mark Halperin, culture columnist Maureen Callahan and influencer Link Lauren, though it isn't immediately clear if any of that programming will be a part of the new channel. Kelly joined SiriusXM in 2021, launching a radio show based on her daily podcast. She renewed that deal with the company in 2023. In the digital media world, four years is an eternity, and Kelly's audience has skyrocketed since then, not only adding listeners (and viewers) on SiriusXM's platforms, but on YouTube and other platforms, as the demand for video podcasts has grown. For many consumers, video podcasts like Kelly's are becoming a replacement for traditional cable news programming, and the production quality of those shows has adapted accordingly. Kelly's success in the space spurred on the creation of her podcast network.
