Per NBC 4, Simmons hit a parked car at around 1 p.m. and was hospitalized on Tuesday. According to NBC, the Kiss bass player told authorities that he'd passed out behind the wheel; Simmons' wife told the outlet that he had recently changed medications and had to drink more water, which had led to him fainting. A representative for Simmons confirmed to THR that he's already on the mend. "Gene is fine and back to work already," the rep said. Kiss finally finished their extensive End of the Road farewell tour back in 2023 after starting back in 2019, ending the tour with a pair of New York shows at Madison Square Garden. But the band announced back in March that they'll come back for a special "Unmasked" show in Las Vegas in November as part of the Kiss Army Storms Vegas event. The month after, Simmons and the rest of KISS will be honored at the Kennedy Center in December alongside Sylvester Stallone, Gloria Gaynor, George Strait and Michael Crawford. They're the first class of honorees since President Donald Trump took over to overhaul the Kennedy Center this year. At the time, Trump said he was "98 percent" involved in the selections, further adding that, "I had a couple wokesters. No, these are great people. It's very different than it used to be."
