The event is scheduled to be held from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will be hosted by Warner's "Not All Hood" co-host Candace Kelley, executive producer Layne Fontes and producer and creative director Troy Harris, Jr. Warner's friends and fans will be given the chance to reflect, share and speak about the impact he had on their lives before he died. Anyone in the community will be encouraged to share their memories of the late Cosby Show actor, regardless of where they're watching the show from. Additionally, the event will include special footage that showed Warner behind the scenes of his podcast. Special guests including Erika Alexander, Lamman Rucker, Touré, Isaac Hayes III, Jessica Miesel, Dr. Daniel Black, Kimberly Latrice Jones and Dr. Jay Barnett are also expected to appear during the event. Fans can tune into the live virtual event on the podcast's YouTube channel, Fanbase, Instagram and on the Roland Martin Unfiltered network. "Some people talk. Malcolm connected. He held space. This moment isn't just about what we lost, it's about what we keep: The lessons. The laughter. The light," a post on the Not All Hood Instagram account stated. "Join us as we celebrate the impact, the presence, the legacy." The show, according to the podcast's website, "takes a provocative look at the vastly different lived experiences and identities of Blacks in America. The layered nuances are explored through conversations and guests who share their journeys and versions of Black confirmation about topics including Black masculinity, love and media representation." The hosts also discuss "pop culture, music and headlining news" while addressing "the evolution, exhilaration and triumphs of being rooted in a myriad of versions of Black America." Kelley recently told People that the podcast will continue following Warner's death. While discussing the live event, which will mark their first episode without Warner, she said that the team wanted to hear from their "community" because there are "hundreds of people who just want to share what he meant to them." Warner died on Sunday in an accidental drowning off the coast of Costa Rica. The Costa Rican National Police, who identified his body, noted that he died from asphyxia after he was caught by a strong ocean current. Following his death, many of his former co-stars expressed their sadness in social media tributes and interviews. While speaking to ABC News, Bill Cosby said that Warner was "very professional" when he played his TV son on The Cosby Show. "I enjoyed working with him very much." "He always knew his part ... He always knew his lines, and he always knew where to go," Cosby recalled. Raven-Symoné, who also appeared on The Cosby Show, paid tribute to Warner in an Instagram reel. "Words cannot describe the pain and sadness and surprise I feel with the recent loss of MJW. He was the big brother. He was a beacon. He was one of the most multifaceted, talented men... so gentle," she said in the video, which included a black background with the message, "I miss you."
