Taylor Swift is peeling back the curtain - and revealing what her life as a showgirl is really like - by sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the making of her latest album. "Being in the studio and creating these songs was an unforgettable experience," Swift, 35, wrote via Instagram on Monday, October 6, alongside pictures of her working in the studio on The Life of a Showgirl. She revealed, "Luckily I don't ever have to forget it because I was recording while we were writing - and now it's a way to look back on the process and give you guys a glimpse into how we wrote these songs and hear the moments we thought of these ideas in real time." The Grammy winner, who released her 12th studio album on Friday, October 3, then shared several snaps of her writing process via social media. Taylor Swift Is Dropping 'Look Behind the Curtain' Video With New Album Swift included a picture of her seemingly singing lyrics she had written on her phone while coproducer Max Martin played the piano in a bright room with wood-textured walls. Swift wore a pink sweater and jeans with her hair pulled back into a ponytail for the jam session. In the second photo, Swift was singing and playing the piano herself as Martin, 54, appeared to direct her with his hands. The pair looked out on a patio as they sat in a living room with guitars in the background and purple flowers in a vase on the piano. Swift donned a scrunchie in her hair while Martin was also in a dark shirt and sweats. Swift showed off her playful side in a third photo where both Martin and their third producer, Shellback, were by her side. The musician stuck out her tongue while wearing black sunglasses, a brown sweater and green pants. Courtesy of Taylor Swift/Instagram Martin smiled for the camera while sitting on Swift's right, while Shellback, 40, posed on her left side. The trio were joined by a black dog and had some sort of cocktail and a glass of wine in front of them. The final slide showed Swift taking a selfie as she listened to Shellback play guitar in their European studio. Taylor Swift Addresses Some of Her Fans' Most Insane 'Showgirl' Theories In addition to giving fans a glimpse at her life in the studio, Swift announced on Monday that she released The Life of a Showgirl (DELUXE Alone In My Tower Acoustic Version) for 24 hours only on iTunes. According to Swift, the special release features "The Life of a Showgirl" with "original songwriting voice memos" broken into act 1 and act 2 as well as "The Fate of Ophelia (Alone in My Tower Acoustic Version)" and "Eldest Daughter (Now You're Home Acoustic Version)."
